Admission cycles and dates
There are two intakes a year. Missing one means waiting about six months, so it is worth knowing where you are in the calendar before you start gathering documents.
January cycle
January - February
The first intake of the academic year. Applications typically open at the start of January and close towards the end of February.
July cycle
July - August
The second intake, aligned with the end of the school and university year. Applications typically open in early July and close at the end of August.
Planning backwards from a deadline
If a closing date is near, work backwards rather than forwards. Document gathering is what delays most applications, not the form itself.
- Two weeks out: get your certificates scanned and check names match your photo ID.
- One week out: decide your specialisation - that is the choice worth a counsellor conversation.
- Final days: submit. Verification takes a few working days after that.

Dates: common questions
What happens if I miss a cycle?
You wait for the next one, which is roughly six months later. If you are close to a closing date, tell a counsellor - getting an application in before the cut-off is usually possible if your documents are ready.
Can I apply before a cycle opens?
You can register your interest at any time, and a counsellor will contact you when applications open so you are not scrambling at the deadline.
When do classes actually start?
Teaching begins shortly after the cycle closes and admissions are processed. Your exact session start date is confirmed once your admission is finalised.
Are the two intakes different in any way?
No. The same programmes, curriculum and credential apply to both. The only difference is when you start and therefore when you finish.
