Get these scanned before you start the form. Having them ready is the single biggest thing that turns a stalled application into a smooth one.

  • Class 12 certificate Proof of twelve years of formal schooling.
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Photo identity proof Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence.
  • Passport-size photograph Recent, plain background.

Only if they apply to you

  • Graduation degree or marksheet if applicable Required for postgraduate programmes only.
  • Work experience certificate if applicable Only if the programme asks for it, or if you want it considered.
  • Category certificate if applicable SC / ST / differently-abled, only if you are claiming a concession.
  • Certificate of Equivalence from the AIU if applicable International applicants only, for qualifications earned outside India.

Getting the scans right

  • Scan or photograph the whole document, edge to edge, with nothing cropped.
  • Make sure the text is readable at full size - this is where most uploads fail.
  • Use the name that matches your photo ID, and flag any mismatch early.
  • Keep the originals; verification may be requested later.

Confirm the list. Confirm current requirements and dates with an admission counsellor before you apply - universities revise them between intakes.

Documents: common questions

What format should the scans be in?

Clear, legible scans or photographs of the original documents, readable at full size. Blurred or cropped uploads are the most common reason an application stalls.

My documents are in a regional language. Is that a problem?

You will normally need a certified English translation alongside the original. A counsellor can confirm what is acceptable.

My name differs across documents. What do I do?

Name mismatches between your marksheets and your photo ID usually need a supporting affidavit or gazette notification. Flag it to your counsellor early - it is fixable, but not at the last minute.

Do I need to post physical copies?

No. The application is entirely online and documents are uploaded. Keep your originals safe in case verification is requested later.
